plastic mesh (gutter guard type) availability in Australia?
I am in Logan City, QLD. I attempting to make an aviary from some fencing
panels I have and want to cover them with a mesh to keep in the finches. I have seen the 18cm X 8m rolls of gutter guard that cost $2. I want to use this because it will be sufficient for finches and cheaper than metal mesh. This plastic mesh is of the same approximate dimensions as metal welded mesh (12.5mm square, the apeture is about 10.5mm spuare). I want to know where I can obtain rolls of this black plastic gutter guard mesh that are in rolls of at least 90cm wide if not wider. Thanks, Laurence Dodd. |

g'day laurence,
any good hardware should have gutter guard don't know if it comes in different widths though, if your local little shops don't have it got to the bigger ones like bunning etc.,. might be an idea to also check the real large hardwares or good landscaper suppliers i reckon you should just about be able to get that sort of mesh in say 1.5m widths or there abouts, might be cheaper to buy it that way than in g/g strips also try those larger nurseries they have heaps of stuff. len On Wed, 31 Mar 2004 12:19:24 +1000, "Laurence Dodd" wrote: snipped -- happy gardening 'it works for me it could work for you,' "in the end ya' gotta do what ya' gotta do" but consider others and the environment http://members.optusnet.com.au/~gardenlen1/ |
