Prunus spinosa (aka Blackthorn, Sloe) in Tasmania or Victoria

Does anybody know of a source for the fruit of Prunus spinosa?

The British seep the mini-plums called sloes in gin and sugar and
drink the liqueur at Christmas.

According to the web page

http://www.utas.edu.au/docs/plant_sc...ey/gPrunus.htm

the species is naturalised in Tasmania.

Does anybody know if the fruit is harvested?
