Does anybody know the name of this flower?

Hello to all users,
last year we visited Australia. On our tour, we took a picture of a flower on Fraser Island. It is about 1m high, i guess. I am not sure if it is a wild flower, but I don't think so, because we saw it in a resort. But it must grow on sandy floor. It is really important for us, to know the name, so many people ask us, and we canīt give an answer. Thank you for every helpful answer. Marlene (from Germany) |

I think you will find the plant is Crinum pedunculatum, which is a native of Australia and often grown in gardens. http://www.envirohort.com/CRINUM%20%20PEDUNCULATUM.jpg http://farrer.riv.csu.edu.au/ASGAP/c-ped.html Richard On Fri, 12 Nov 2004 12:47:32 +0000, Marlene wrote: Hello to all users, last year we visited Australia.
