Default Eggplants are a changeing

Hi,

Eggplants turn to that color after they have been on the vine too long. They
will not taste as good but you need to pick them soon or they will make good
compost. Sounds like your Tomatoes have the blight. You should spray with a
good anti fungal like Datrial and continue spraying weekly.

Have Fun

Our Eggplants(the fruit) is changeing colour from normal to a sort of
browny\grey. Also growth seems to have slowed. Have fertilised a week
go but does not seem to be helping. Any ideas??
Also Tomatoes are not looking good. Losing leaves from the bottom up
even though still fruiting OK. They'll be barearsed in a week at this
rate. It is extremely hot here last few days but the above problems
pre date this.

Where are located? What has the weather been like lately? The the night
temperatures have droped and the vegies have slowed. Not much you can do
about that

When the eggplants start to turn grey it is usually because they
become overripe. You will also find that they will be very bitter to
taste. It is best to pick them when they are black even if they are
small. Don't worry about your tomatoes this is just coming to the end
of the season. Just keep picking the fruit as there is nothing you
should do. CherylOn Wed, 16 Feb 2005 15:15:08 +0800, Lurk relurking
