Bamboo Fence - is it hurricane tolerant?

Thinking of putting up a privacy fence - deciding between wood or bamboo,
anyone know how bamboo fences are constructed? Do you put in poles with
concrete bases, say 8 feet apart, then nail in the bamboo fence panels?

Will bamboo fences be more or less hurricane tolerant then wood fences?
