Culinary bamboo shoots

Hi All,

New here. I do work with hydroponics greenhouse systems producing food
products. We follow some of the cultural diversities and would like to
learn more about cultivating bamboo shoots for food.

Any ideas

Thank you

Culinary bamboo shoots

Hello,

I had some black bamboo move from its normal position with new and very
strong shoots out in the lawn. We cut most of them while they were in the
bud form and enjoyed them very much just raw. They would have cooked up
quite nicely though and were large enough to have made several servings.

Bamboo of course is a grass and all the varieties give edible buds. Good
luck though with hydroponics and greenhouse climate for these guys.
