Default Fargesia murieliae 'Jumbo' in flower

Both of my young plants of F. murieliae 'Jumbo' are in flower in NW England.
Is this a rare occurrence? Anyone got any advice on collecting and
cultivating the seeds?

Sadly it appears that flowering (which only happens every 50 to 100 years) could be the death knell of your plants. See www.stambamboo.com/bamboo35.htm for info.
