Default Thamnocalamus tessellatus in Atlanta

I have two Thamnocalamus tessellatus plants (2 gallon) that where
giving to me as a gift. The would look great in one corner of my yard
to block the neighbors. The are gets sun from about 10:00 - 16:00 would
the plants do well with that much sun and the heat of atlanta summer?
The area is about 10-15ft space is that enough room?

Thanks

James

Yep. Just watch the water. If they need water the leaves will curl
inward. If the leaves curl into a tube, you've missed a few days of
watering. You didn't say what kind of pots. The type of pot will affect
how much water they will need. Unglazed ceramic pots will require more
watering then glazed ceramic.

You did not say if you plan on sticking them in the dirt or potting
them. Whatever, two gal. grow-pots are no way big enough. They would be
root-bound and stunted in no time. I generally skirt and thin my plants.
In pots (up a bit) you may not want to shirt your plants. (Remove the
first one or two branchs.) However it is a good idea to thin your stand.
(Remove old culmns(1yr or older), so that there is space between the new
ones ( 4 to 12 inches))
