I think Rob and I saw this tree at Fairchild Gardens in October. I don't
think pruning would be a problem this time of year but I wouldn't try
repotting.
BTW, did you get in touch with the pot guys in Lauderdale?

Yes, you both saw it.
Thanks for the advice. I may repot it, but with no root pruning, just placing
it in a pot size equal to what it is in now.

I did get in touch last Sunday with the bonsai pot guys and I talked to the
owner today and will be meeting him there today at 12:30 PM.

This is a beautifull tree! I have long wanted to grow a black pine. I am
in Sarasota, FL. Any ideas where I might find suitable material?

advanced age and inability to work on it properly. She is a fellow club
member.
