Default [IBC] Boxwood propogation

A neighbor has offered to let me have some branches from her
old
boxwoods for bonsai. Is this feasable? If so, what's the best

method
? How large a branch can i use ?

I have easily rooted (using Rootone) 1/2 inch branches, even
without taking off a lot of the foliage -- either in pots with
old bonsai soil or just jammed into the ground.

Now through early summer is a good time in MY area. Newly rooted
cuttings would need protection from severe winters, unless you
root them in the ground.
