'Trost's Dwarf'
I finally got one, but it is a rather puny thing (1/2" caliper). Because they
warn you about twig dieback in winter, I decided not to put it in the ground. I put it in an 8" growing pot in bonsai soil (chopped back). Can anyone point me to pictures of bonsai of this variety or the tree in the ground, or even regular B. pendula? The one in Tomlinson is not terribly impressive. Anybody know the origin of 'Trost's Dwarf?' Iris, Central NY, Zone 5a, Sunset Zone 40 "If we see light at the end of the tunnel, It's the light of the oncoming train." Robert Lowell (1917-1977) |
