The tree in a pot is what bonsai stands for. A wonderful small tree that is pleasant to look on. This small plant is not genetically a dwarf plant but it is restrained to a certain height by root pruning, growing it in a confined pot, etc. So it's not a wonder to make any plant bonsai by some care and right methods. The most common methods to cultivate and grow bonsai are grafting, cutting, air layering, and from seed itself. Bonsai are classified according to different sizes :-
1. Mame - tiny bonsai
2. Shohin - small bonsai
3. Kifu - medium bonsai
4. Dai/Daiza - large bonsai
The one more aspect while growing bonsai is how much water you should give to it? Give it in the right amount and don't let it dry. While some bonsai may sustain the periods of relative dryness while other require a good moisture. You should take care that watering too frequently, or allowing the soil to remain soggy can promote fungal infections and "root rot".
