I don't know the variety, but most Junipers will strike cuttings if taken at
the right time of year, treated with the appropriate rooting hormone, placed
in the proper media (coarse, well drained) and given enough time. Most
commercial growers research this stuff and State Ag school should have the
information. Check with your county agent, they work for the Ag school.

[IBC] Juniperus Rigida cuttings???

J rigida is not one that I've tried but other Junipers (and I've rooted
many) have been really easy, if a little slow. From memory, June/July
with a heel, in sharp sand/peat (peat moss). I'll check my references
tomorrow.

One point about all the advice you get on this list. Everything
depends upon where you live. Kevin live in Wales and has a much different
climate than central Florida where I live. Especially the date to start
cuttings of anything will be very dependent on where you live that is why I
suggested the county agent. In the US the national government pays for a
college trained agricultural agent in every county. Sometimes there is more
than one agent and they specialize in things like animal husbandry,
commercial farming and homeowner concerns.
