Punica :Expert advice needed
HI
I made a cutting 3 years ago from a double red flower Punica I selected the branch when flowering and cut the following autumn. The cutting is normally growing but no flowers.. A gardner told me that a cutting from a tree needs to become mature before making flowers.. It seems to me that a cutting from a mature tree should have exactly the same caratheristic as well as maturity ( sexual) as the parent tree.. any suggestion from personal experience or read somewhere something ? Might be a punica an atypical example ? Thanks a lot Theo |
