[IBC] root wedge update
Well.... here's an update on that chinese elm i root "wedged".
i took it out of the pot .. and yes ... the side that is lacking growth is the side i took the wedge from. I never even stopped to think about the roots i may be removing...just tried to imitate what i thougth i had read... anyway... i hosed off the clay and soil and repotted.... the rest of the tree is growing and continues to bud nicely... hopefully the other side will correct itself in time... there are two branches on that side that have made it so far... (rather spindly but i will let them grow untouched keeping some pathways open). thanks for all your advice and input. this was definately a lessoned learned. (i love that feeling when something finally really makes sense and sets in through experience) steve lancaster pa ************************************************** ****************************** ++++Sponsored, in part, by Evergreen Gardenworks++++ ************************************************** ****************************** -- The IBC HOME PAGE & FAQ: http://www.internetbonsaiclub.org/ -- +++++ Questions?
