[IBC] Blooming Elephants Food bonsai
Bonsai enthusiast Robert Baran has had an Elephant's Foot bonsai bloom &
noted its details on the web: www.phoenixbonsai.com/Blooming.html. I'm not at all familiar with the plant or even its cousins, but Robert suggests that the blooming is a rare event in Arizona. He also comments on another Elephant's Food bonsai from which this blooming bonsai arose as a cutting: http://www.phoenixbonsai.com/Elephant.html The original plant has grown from a gift during Robert's first year in Phoenix Bonsai Society. Such gifts are irreplaceable. In Robert's case, this tree is perhaps partially responsible for substantial fruiting of bonsai scholarship... :-) Chris... C.
