[IBC] Lyonia (southeastern growers only)
Has anyone over the southeastern US ever worked with the Genus
Lyonia? There's L. lucida (which I have), L. fruiticosa, L. ligustrina, or L. ferruginua. They're variously called Fetterbush, He-Huckleberry, or Staggerbush (there must be a story behind the later two, but I don't know them). Nice flowers, sometimes fall color for the deciduous varieties (L. lucida is evergreen). The bark is a deep mahogany red. It is very common in my swamp, and I found a nice root-connected one, but I'm not sure how they'll do in pots.
