Well, before my Mom throws out the very green very healthy Christmas tree,
which is the best place to take cuttings from?

True Pines and other Christmas Tree species used in the US are not usually
successful from cuttings. They are usually grown from seed.
However when taking cuttings, growing tips about 4 inches are usually best.
