[IBC] honeysuckle budding out
My largest and oldest (ca. 125 y.o.) honeysuckle has decided it's
spring. The buds are showing green. This isn't surprising since this is always the first tree to start budding out. Unfortunately, the calendar says otherwise. It's supposed to be in the high 40's today and tomorrow, then into the 30's then 20's by the middle of the week. What will happen to the buds? Undoubtedly, in it's long life this tree has seen other whacky winters like this, so I'm sure it will survive.
