Brass Pot

Hi
I have a large 14" round shallow brass dish (pot) that I would like to plant a
maple in. Any problem with brass? Thx.

Brass Pot

HI
I do not know if oxydation due to water and fertilizer will buit up
toxic chemicals .. moreover a metallic pot will heat quicker and
warmer.. it will risult in a quicker drying of the soil and maybe roots
decay inside ( the roots white tender terminals reaching the metal
walls will be baked ) and in winter less protection against freezing..
just my 3 cents of worries :-) if Japanese did not do ..must be a
reason to that , and they made wonderful crafts in bronze tehy made
trays but not pots as far as I know
