I just found this post, allegedly from Iris Cohen, among my list
mail. It had an attachment titled, ATT0004.txt (741 B). I know
that attachments are not allowed on this list, for very good
reasons. Was something altered when the list went down just
before the BCI 2004 convention?

Actually, small attachments can get through. Iris posts from
AOL, and AOL sends out mail oddly (always has). Outlook Express
often creates a duplicate of the AOL message and appends it as an
attachment -- though usually with an "htm" extension. That's
PROBABLY what this was.

But anyway, list configuration is such that messages with
attachments large enough to cause damage won't go through to the
list, but those up to that size can -- and do.

I'm sorry I forwarded it in such a way that the message fell off. It was here
in a different format the other day. Here it is again:
Between 1904 and 1910 in Japan the copper wire technique begins to be used.
In 1910 the first book is published that deals with this subject, whose title
is SANYU-EN BONSAI-DAN.
