Concentric Net Automated Help Message
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The mail you've sent couldn't reach its target. Some common problems
a

"User unknown" -- the user name or login ID you gave at that site
doesn't exist, or is no longer active.

"Host unknown" -- the domain you sent it to (the part of the
address
following the "@" symbol) doesn't exist, or cannot be found

The most common error is a simple typing mistake. Double check that
the
e-mail address was typed correctly and re-send if a mistake was made.
If
unsuccessful after making corrections, you may consider contacting the
postmaster of the remote network by e-mailing postmaster@domain (the
domain must match the domain of the address to which you were trying
to
send your message). The postmasters are usually happy to help when
asked
politely for assistance.

Including the real name and address of the person also helps locate
the
correct account quickly. Should this also prove ineffective, you'll
have
to wait until the person you are trying to be e-mail contacts you with
the
correct address.

If your message was sent in reply to an unsolicited e-mail message
(SPAM),
please be aware that "From:" and "Return-Path:" addresses can be
easily
forged to show a false origination. Concentric Network recommends that
you
DO NOT try to reply or correspond directly with anyone sending such
messages.

David:

I understand you'll have the list address approved but what about the
individual user's e-mail addresses. I tried to send a message to you
directly and it was bounced back. I did not receive a form letter
asking me to "register" with you as was described on their website.

I know some people on another list are not happy with this software
because of the bounced messages. I would be afraid of not getting
e-mails I really wanted.

I use Agent as my mail client and it has filters that can be set to
delete unwanted e-mail. I'd rather has some that I didn't want get
through than vice versa.

I hope it works for you.

Hi John,

You *are* listed in my list of approved senders, so I'm not certain what
happened. One thing that will really help is when the trial period ends, I
can then tweak my settings to my liking.... for some reason, even though I
have set ' as an Accepted Sender, it still holds
it up and sends an auto-response query to whomever actually sent the note to
the List. As I see these come in I am auto-approving them, but perhaps yours
was accidentally deleted... or people's mailservers have been acting
extremely screwy lately with this latest DOS attack. Regardless, once i have
the 'full' version, I can set it to just let *anything* through that has
' in the headers. Sorry for the bounce,
