[IBC] Now if THIS isn't a recommendation to improve bonsai I don't know what is!
BT issue 92 has a 1/3 page Stuporthrive ad that says (in
addition to its so many other claims to greatness) that it was "USED BY FIVE U.S. DEPARTMENTS TO HELP WIN WORLD WAR II." No doubt the Allies bombed it onto the Black Forest and made the trees grow so fast the Panzers couldn't push through. Or something. It also, says the ad, is both an "invigorator" and a "normalizer," whatevertheH--- that is, though it seems "normalizer" would be be the anthesis of an "invigorator." All this huckster needs is a fancy cart and a mule, along with some dancing girls to attract a crowd, and hesheit would be indistinguishable from those old travelling snake oil and magic elixir shills that used to ply the roads in the Middle Ages (and the Great Depression, which was about the same). I guess this is the first time I've seen the label on the bottle in print large enough for my old eyes to focus on. ;-) Jim Lewis - - Tallahassee, FL - Only where people have learned to appreciate and cherish the landscape and its living cover will they treat it with the care and respect it should have - Paul Bigelow Sears. ************************************************** ****************************** ++++Sponsored, in part, by Evergreen Gardenworks++++ ************************************************** ****************************** -- The IBC HOME PAGE & FAQ: http://www.internetbonsaiclub.org/ -- +++++ Questions?
