[IBC] For those tropical tree lovers up north!
Dear Members:
I just got off the phone with a technical adviser for Hunter Humidifiers. I explained that my humidifier stopped working, and the little green light that is supposed to light up saying that the humidity level has been reached did not come on. I know the unit is plugged in correctly, since all the lights in my tree house are on and I even tried a different plug in a different area. They are sending me out a new unit (in a couple of weeks) the delay was due to the Thanksgiving holiday. I will send the unit back, and they are extending my (five year) warranty for another year. I've had this unit for just over as year! Now that is what I call a company who really cares about their customers. The fact that I purchased the humidifier from Charley’s Greenhouse, who I feel always stand behind their products, show that the combination of buying quality products and reputable business always pays off. The humidity in the tree house is almost 60%, and I attribute it to the fact that I sealed the space between the deck and the house with the foam, which at the time was just before I installed the new rug. In the past before the new rug and the foam application was put down, my humidifier (the old one, a Holmes) never reached more than 50%. I know the trees seem quite happy with the higher humidity, but the fact that the green light did not come on is the only reason I called. Now I am glad I made the call. I have no business relations with either Charley's Greenhouse or Hunter Fan company. I just thought you all would like to know. Carl L.
