[IBC] Pine bark supply
Iris, if you have access to a power leaf mulcher that is big enough to do
small limbs, you should be able to get a lifetime supply of pine bark. I've been doing this for years. Collect bark pieces from off or around dead pines. Run them through the mulch machine. I collect the chips in a plastic trash barrel and screen to the sizes I want. Here in central PA dead pines are everywhere. ************************************************** ****************************** ++++Sponsored, in part, by Edmund Castillo++++ ************************************************** ****************************** -- The IBC HOME PAGE & FAQ: http://www.internetbonsaiclub.org/ -- +++++ Questions? I suppose that's OK most of the time, but I would be concerned
about using bark from dead pines unless I knew the cause of death. I'd hate for my new soil to be a disease vector.
