[IBC] another serissa question

i too have a love of serissa. i have a small specimen i
bought at a bonsai show. just a scrawny thing really but
at the time it was really healthy. it did fine until i
pruned it. i think maybe i pruned it too far back. after
that it lost all its leaves. that was about 7 months ago.
since then through experimentation i have been able to get
the thing to grow back small patches of foliage, but only
for short amounts of time before they fall of again. so
nothing consistent. also, none of my methods seem to work
twice. so in this group of collected bonsai wisdom, does
anyone have any input on how to get my serissa green again?
it isn't dead it's just been fussy for 7 months. thanks
for the help. it is indoors, under a light for about 14
hours a day, and until recently it was on a himidity tray.

[IBC] another serissa question

Adam...this past fall when it was time for it to come inside under the
lights, my serrissa became very uncooperative and slowly started to lose ALL
of its leaves...and , being the procrastinator that I am...i waited and
waited . I finally decided to try some advice read here a few years
ago....made a clear tent for it...supported in such a way as not to touch the
tree anywhere . I misted frequently...no watering at all for weeks and lo an
behold...we be leafing out all over !! so far most of the shoots are staying
and thriving...I can't wait 'till spring comes and i can move this fickle
beast outdoors again !!!...I'd say definitely give the tent a try...just any
clear poly bag thats big enough to surround it , tuck the excess under for
somewhat of a seal . And to whomever gave this advice in the past...thanks
very much !!!...BobO

Check your soil and watering. They like frequent watering, but very good
drainage.

it is indoors, under a light for about 14 hours a day, and until recently
it was on a humidity tray.

I have my lights on 18 hours. Get a humidity gauge. Plan on putting it outdoors
for the summer.
