Default Autumn planted potatoes

I am wanting to plant potaotes to crop in the winter. I am going to plant them in a poly tunnel and hopefully have new potatoes at Christmas!
Does anyone have experience of doing this, what varieties are good, and are there any companies that would still have seed potatoes available.
