Do you use hard or soft wheat for growing wheat grass for juice?
 
The local organic store had hard winter wheat and soft wheat. Should I
just grow according to season or is one better than the other?

It is the same. Soft is cheaper, red (hard) makes slightly larger
blades. Both taste awful. Now I only grow sunflower and pea shoots in
midwinter.
