Default Cucumber hills

Is there any advantage in planting cucumber seeds in hills V/S flat ground
..

I _could_ be all wet on this, but I don't think that "hills" are
_necessarily_ actual, literal hills.

However, if indeed they are, it might have something to do with
keeping the seedlings feet dry, or warmer, or a combination of same.
If you have some way to put a cloche over your seeds they'd probably
be happy on the flats too.

You're right, Gonzo. Hills doesn't refer to little mounds of dirt. But
to
planting in little clusters or groups of 4 or 5 usually in a small
circle.
These groups may or may not be on mounds, depending on whether
the plants prefer a little better drainage or not.
