Moving Raspberry canes
 
Hi,i am having to move some summer fruiting raspberry canes,before i move them ,should i prune the canes.They have had the previous fruiting wood cut back at the end of their fruiting season.

it never hurts to balance the amount of top
to the amount of root when moving a cane type
plant. however, if you are not going to
replant immediately you can leave a little
more extra on the top until you get closer to
planting and then trim it off when planted.

keep it cool and moist so that the root
doesn't dry out in storage.
