Yes, poisonous if you eat them. OK if you don't eat them.

Yes, they are a rich source of oxcalic acid, among other things.. You
will get nasty stomach ache if you eat them..

Ususally it is the stalks that are consumed, frequently cooked as a
dessert

Don't eat the leaves or any frost damaged stalks.
Primarily the poison is oxalic acid ,you would have to consume quite a
bit to be killed but it will still make you sick and damage your
mouth.
Some other glycosides are present but little is known of them.
