Default "New Queen" watermelon variety

has anyone had any luck growing this variety? i have attempted to grow it
beside many other varieties and every year it succumbs to disease or just
never really gets going. is this just a really weak variety?

if anyone has successfully grown these, how does their taste/texture/overall
quality compare to other homegrown melons?
