composting seed catalogs

I'm only half joking. I made one mail-order purchase last year for
heirloom tomato seeds and now I seem to be getting several catalogs a
day. I was wondering, if I shredded them, would they compost well?

Sure, the glossy ones take longer to break down, but paper is paper.
