bleach treatment for soaking plants to remove snails, how long?

I'm over run with trumpet snails and have decided to completely gut my tank,
wash and shift the snails out of the gravel, dip my plants in a 5% solution
of bleach to kill any snails and put the plants in a bucket of water which
I'll change a couple of times with fresh water. I was going to leave the
plants in the bleach solution for about 3-5 mins, then rinse them off and
put them into a bucket filled with ordinary water with a shot of chlorine
remover. I'll change this a couple of times just to make sure all the
chlorine is gone.
So 3-5 mins should kill all the baby snails on the plants correct?

Suggestions?

It might be worth putting some loaches in first.
Should be less snails to bleach off later.

I've tried stronger and longer bleach treatments than that - it didn't kill
trumpet snails. Get some clown loached to eat them and if you ever take the
loaches out, boil the gravel for an hour. Freezing it for a year won't kill
ramshorns, I dunno about MTS.

6 clown loaches as well as 2 zebra loaches. The mts shells are too touch for
the loaches to crush them. I can't crush them against the glass, and they've
become quite the mass of snails. So, since I have a bunch of Japonica
shrimp, snailaside is not an option. I was going to tear down the tank, wash
all the snails I can out of the gravel, bleach dip the plants and start over
again. No only to get them out of the filter. Suggestions on how to do that?
