Question about Amano's Nature Aquarium World Tank Vol 1

I have a question about a tank in Amano's Nature Aquarium World Volumne 1.

On page 26, there's a picture of a 56 liter tank with what looks like well
over 80 neon tetra's. Isn't that far too many fish for such a tiny tank? I
calculate out 56 liters to be nearly 13 U.S. gallons. Is it okay to grossly
overstock a heavily planted tank? If anyone can shed some light on this, I
would appreciate it.

No offense to the highly acclaimed Amano Takashi- but I've heard it
speculated more than once that his tanks are not set up for long term
purposes. The tanks in those books are set up, photographed, and torn
down from what I've been led to beleive.
