Is more aeration required?
Okay, I've finally scrounged around 20 LFS's for 4 bags flourite after much
difficulty in finding it for my 38G, so when I remove my UGF to transfer to a flourite substrate medium planted tank will I need more aeration via a powerhead or other aerator during the night or will my Eheim 2213 cannister filter spray bar be enough to keep up with the fish and plants oxygen needs if I have it just above the waterline spraying against the glass. |

I have a 2213 on a 38 and had to add an airstone, by morning the fish were
at the top gasping, I have it heavly planted also and the spray bar moderate fish load of a pair of rams. 4 corys and 7 guppies. Kay "Tasslehoff" wrote in message ... Try putting the spray bar about an inch and a half to two inches below the surface of the water pointing upwards at a forty-five degree angle. I had mine running across the level of the water, but then changed it like this and got much better surface agitation. Stu |
