Default Another Amazon Sword question...

just got a couple, need to be reminded what they need, so please advise...

They are root feeders, needing root tabs, Iron?

Expect the leaves to fall, but supplementing with Iron will keep them from
yellow spotting, and falling off right?

Please correct my mistakes, and give some hints so these Amazons will
last...

Thanks...

It won't keep the old leaves from dying. Amazon swords are grown emersed, and
the emersed leaves die when you submerge the plant in an aquarium. As long as
the plant is healthy, it's nothing to worry about. New leaves will grow in to
replace the old ones.

Swords do like root tabs, but you might hold off for a few weeks. Give them a
chance to get established before you start fertilizing.

They require moderate to high light to grow. The plant will die back to a
small 2 or3 leaf plant in low light. They must be rooted and root tabs help
will growth. CO2 is desired.
