Default kH levels dropping, why??

I've been injecting C02 for a few weeks now and I've noticed that over that
time my KH levels have dropped from 11 to 9...why? My pH has stayed steady
at about 7.1...so that means my C02 has been dropping. What would lower the
KH levels and make the pH stay the same? I thought KH levels were pretty
static and once you tested what they were in your local water supply they
pretty much didn't change. I thought all I needed to do was to test pH
levels to find out my C02 ppm after coming up with a constant KH level.

Anyways...if anyone has any tips or opinions let me know,

thanx!! Dave.

That's not much of a drop. It's probably just natural biological processes.

The same processes that turn ammonia into nitrite and then nitrate eats up the
KH in the tank. The solution is scheduling water changes frequently enough to
keep the KH from dropping too much. And not overstocking and overfeeding the
tank, of course!
