I Believe In Fairies
Hi
A few months ago I purchased some fish for my garden pond, in amongst the fish floating on top of the water were some small green leaves which I removed before putting the fish into the pond. At least I thought I had.....oh no I didn't. It has now taken over my pond I have been told it is called Fairy Dust or Fairy Weed the small green leaves float on the water. I have been removing as much as I can daily, but it just keeps coming back. I have been away for a week and when I got back all I could see in my pond was this green weed/dust, it had come back in its herds/swarm/flock, when I removed some of the surface leaves even the fish were blinking their eyes lots when they saw daylight. The leaves are now under the water attached to the roots of my other plants and every little corner and hideaway in the pond. As fast as I try to remove it, it is spreading. Could anyone advise me how to get rid of these leaves please or just have a word with the Fairies in my Garden |

Many fish also eat duckweed, I feed it to my comets and goldfish in
our pond and it doesn't get out of control as they seem to eat it faster than it can recover. Perhaps you can try not feeding your fish for a while and see if they turn on the duckweed. Obviously manual removal will also be required but the fish should help you. Hope that helps Giancarlo Podio SEEDSENSE wrote in message ...
