Default 20 oz. paintball co2 injection?

Has anyone ever tryed to fit a regulator onto a 20oz paintball co2
tank? i have a 5 gallon tank i'm trying to grow riccia in. i've tryed
the DIY method but can't seem to get consistent pressure. i know a 5
pound tank would be more cost effective in the long run but my 5 gallon
is set up in a space limiting place. besides a small tank won't need
that much co2 and the system would be much more compact. i know the
threads on the 20oz is much smaller than the regular sized co2 tanks so
thats where the problem lies. hope someone can help.
