Default Plants and heater

Just wondering if its ill advised to plant in close to the heater. My Hygro
has lots of yellowing leaves near the heater area but is growing fine.
Wondering if it's due to the heater or malnutrition.

Thanks,
Frank

Default Plants and heater

I have jungle vals in the corners and center of my 125g, I planted one
basically udner the heater cause I don't like the look of technology in the
tank. It does a decent job of hiding the cylinder but it is clearly not as
thick and full as the other two vals. It is still doing decently though.
I'm thinking of upgrading to a standalone heater/cooler because I'm not sure
of the ability of my tank to maintain ~78F in a room thats 80 during the day
and much hotter under the canopy with the lights on. I figure the
standalone unit (which pumps water through itself and back into the tank,
will fix my thinned val.
