Default Pinks!!!

Dianthus, related to carnations, growing almost xerophytiaclly atop my
retaining wall with a few roots in the dry clay, not often watered.
Lovely and oh, that strong sweet yet spicy fragrance! These have bloomed
on anf off through the spring summer and fall the last two years -
indeed, almost til Christmas! Hard to beat and that silvery foliage is a
big plus. This was a small plug a fried yanked out of his patch two
years ago and said would survive despite the almost total lack of roots.
Guess he was right!
