My delosperma are also trying to bloom now too. I think our winter may
have been a little too moist for these guys, and a lot of this planting seems to have rotted out, but I put in more this year, and we'll see. If they can survive a "normal" winter/spring, then I figure that if we get hit with a drought here, at least I'll have something blooming.
