Some UFO on a Linum rubrum aka scarlet flax.

I've been growing the usual perennial blue flax in my garden for a few
years, but this year I thought I'd try the annual scarlet flax. This
was direct sown in probably 50-50 sun/shade and it has done quite well
so far.

The germination was excellent for direct sowing and the growth has
been strong, choking out any competing weeds. All it has to do now is
keep blooming for another few months and I'll be very satisfied.

The seed was mail-ordered from Wildseed Farms of Fredericksburg Texas,
which is a vendor I have also been quite happy with.

That's excellent, John.

I've never been able to take a good shot of the blue flax either singly or
en masse :-(

Very nice capture and presentation, John.
Beautiful subjects, brilliant colors, tasteful cropping, and great use
