It's not all rain here in central Texas this summer. Fortunately these
were somewhat soft hail stones.

LOL! So it's true what they say about Texans, that everything they have is
bigger than anyone else's :-)

I'm quite glad that I've never experienced hailstones like that!

We did, three Sundays ago, at our house up in Maine. I've never seen
hail like that, I truly thought it was going to come through the roof
and/or break all the windows, when the wind whipped it around!

We've recently had terrible hail - but nothing like the size of what was in
the picture. We're in Yorkshire, England, I suspect that makes a difference!

Oh wow. That's an awesome pic!

Too bad you did not have a piece of black velvet or something. :-)

Where are you? I count us lucky to not have had any hail, and only one
close tornado.

A darker background would have made for a more dramatic pic, that's all.
But it was most excellent none the less.

It shows perfectly well to my eyes, it's not a work of art. and in any case,
black isn't always the best foil for a white object.

Is that what you do? I can't remember seeing one of your pictures, point me
to one and I'll comment :-)

I disagree.

It wasn't a work of art, merely a statement of fact.

There are many pictures put up here which are less than perfect (according
to my eye, I worked for a professional photographer) but I don't think it's
kind to comment on them.

I've been remiss. ;-)
I did not have much of a garden this year.

I'm ashamed to post any mediocre pics due to the quality of pics
generally posted here.

But, a darker background would have been cool for those magnificent hail
stones imho.

ymmv.
