Hopefully this file is not too big. I'm just learning how to post pictures.
We picked these tomatoes yesterday. We've gotten a few harvests like this
from our small 7'x8' garden. My daughter and I don't care for tomatoes. So
my wife picks out the ones she wants and we give the rest away. I love to
watch them grow and to pick them. Next year we'll plant less tomatoes. One
Roma plant is plenty for one family. We've got four and they produce a lot
more then we can handle!

You are doing great and the image is wonderful. I had problem with
size too which kind folks helped me resolve. Now I'm told to not check
"Send with MIME" which I had by default that Mike from Australia
recommended Some of images post with no problem some end up as
gibberish. Back to the help file info for MT-newswatcher.

Guess I should be grateful text works.

I don't even know you, and I hate you already! (No! I'm just kidding)
Here in England where I live we cannot grow a decent tomato outside, even
though our summer has been quite hot at times. All we have is tomato
blight. Some in the greenhouse are doing OK, but we can count the ones we
harvest in a week on one hand. I am so envious of your tomato bounty, we've
never been able to grow proper tomatoes here.

That's not true everywhere.

I don't know where you are but I'm in Leeds, Yorkshire, and although our tom
crop isn't as abundant as it was last year we have no blight - nor in
potatoes. We've had nothing but rain since May, until this week.

All we have is tomato blight. Some in the greenhouse are doing OK, but we
can count the ones we harvest in a week on one hand.

Where are you? I'm collecting a handful of toms a day from the greenhouse.

I suspect that your local conditions must be a problem. It's certainly not
true of the whole of UK.

I think you're probably right, Mary, there must be blight in the area.
Nobody down our allotments can grow any decent tomatoes either. I might
check out a gardening site for more info. Well, at least the cavolo nero's

widespread blight. It's just not universal and our locality has been lucky -
as yours has. Be glad :-)

Thanks for that ng, I didn't know about it, will have a look. Boy, do we
have beetroot! And the sweetcorn's pretty good so far.

I dunno, with allotments some years you win, some years you don't win as
much.

Musn't dally, this is a pictures.gardens thing. May meet you in the other
gardening ng one day to discuss blight.
