It looks as though the center has died off - if it's an old planting, it probably needs to be divided. If it's rooted anything like the one I had, good luck - the roots are incredibly tough to get out of the ground! -- Ann, gardening in Zone 6a South of Boston, Massachusetts e-mail address is not checked ****************************** |

Fortunately the plant died during a bad winter, only a few stragglers survived, so I finally was able to get rid of it - it was too close to the end of the driveway and blocked the line of sight. I've got a gorgeous yellow baptisia there now G -- Ann, gardening in Zone 6a South of Boston, Massachusetts e-mail address is not checked ****************************** |

They are about three or four years old. The center us alive but just hanging
over as it grew. Someone suggested dividing the plant. That may be the best idea, perhaps. Any other suggestions? -- "Ann" wrote in message ... Metal ring supports, commonly reffered to as tomato rings, are great for
this purpose. Most of these grasses will grow large enough to hang over the top ring and cover the unslightly metal support while holding the grass in a more controlled area. These supports come in several heights giving you a choice of the look you want. Gary "John" wrote in message ...
