Thanks... although I have to 'fess-up that this is manipulated a bit.
I have a chronic problem taking images of bright, highly-saturated reds. In this case the original image was a RAW. During conversion I could get either a nicely detailed flower with the background badly underexposed, or a decently exposed background with the reds blown out and loosing all detail. In this case I took those two different conversions of the same image and then masked them together. I think the result is a little surreal, but I kind of like it anyway.
