Pretty. :-)

I've got trees budding, but sometimes we get a hard freeze about now so
I'm waiting.

Yeah, the weather here is pretty nice today but my plants are not
going out until I hear there will be 2 full weeks with temps above 38
as a minimum.

It's about 30 degrees (-1 C), and the snow is wet and heavy. As I just
found out, clearing the driveway. Good exercise, if nothing else. :-)

Chicago? that's somewhere in the banana belt, isn't it?

We're in Midnorthern Ontario, on the North Channel of Lake Huron.

Nice, Must be beautiful. I visited Montreal briefly on way to
Vancouver and the whole way on the train was nice. We stopped over in
Banff and also just opposite on the way back. Fun trip it was. Got a
car in Bam (sp) and drove to a castle like restaurant in the
mountains, saw some fascinating bubbling spring like areas.
I was giving a talk at a convention in Vancouver and we used the
excuse to train it from Montreal where we left the car for the 8 or so
days. It has been over 20 years so much escapes me now.

Yup, rocks, water, trees, and the odd patch of farmland. If you like
fish & wildlife, any season outdoor stuff, you'll like it here. We have
the best fall colours in the world. We also have some of the best
amateur theatre anywhere, in every larger centre and in some of the
smaller ones, too. Manitoulin Island is across the water from us, it's
the largest fresh water island in the world, and a great place to visit.
Great theatre, too.

Every picture like this makes me so glad I moved to the deep south 30 years
ago. Yeak, we have to deal with some hot temps in summer. Nothing a fan and
some mint julep wouldn't cure. But this needs May or June to cure it.
