Hahaha! Yeah it rattled me pretty good. At first it seemed like we got
through it okay. At least no pictures fell off the walls and no glass
broke. A few drawers slid open and that was about it.

Later on I wandered out into the garage to get a tool and found several
things had fallen out of my storage shelves and so-on. My wife was out
shopping in her new car when it happened and now she's afraid to put it in
the garage because she's afraid an aftershock will knock some more stuff
loose and it'll land on the car. :o)

All in all we were pretty lucky. My daughter in Tustin and my
daughter-in-law in Placentia have both reported in and they *did* have some
breakage at their places.

How 'bout you Wendy? Is all your stuff okay?

And maybe a time like this is a good time to think of all the poor people in
China who lost so much recently. We've got nothing to squawk about. All we
got was a conversation piece --- luckily.

Now I wish the guys on TV and radio would shut up about it and go on with
normal programming. They'll be yakkin' about this for a week.

My buddy in Redlands said everyone felt it but him. He had spent a couple
of days helping some friends with a sailboat race and still had his sea
legs.

I think your buddy was pulling your leg. Redlands is a ways from the
epicenter but I don't know how he'd miss it unless he was in a car.

Well it could be possible. I mean if you have been sailing and get
used to the sea. Sea legs that is. Then the motion on the land might
be something like that? Don't know, been sailing but not been
earthquaking except about 40 years ago here in Phila. when one of my
bedroom windows came down with a big bang. Got my attention for sure.
I still remember it today and the sailing days too.
